Young Yogis' aim
Young Yogis' aim is quite simply to change the world, one child at a time.
We believe that if each and every child is taught the tools needed to succeed in life, in a truly happy and healthy way, the world will become what it is supposed to be; the world will know peace. “One generation full of deeply loving parents [and teachers] would change the brain of the next generation, and with that, the world.” We are passionate about being a part of that change, a part of teaching children how to live and love and be happy. That is, after all, the only thing that truly matters in life.
About Jessica Simeonides (founder of Young Yogis SA)
"I have always had a whole-hearted passion for children. I love their innocence, their joy of life, their innate caring nature. I know that children are the future and I truly believe that their success depends completely on us as adults. I am passionate about having a positive influence on a child's life and teaching them all that will serve them well.
Since I was a child I knew that I would become a teacher. After completing a Bachelor of Education as well as many other short courses in education and gaining much experience in teaching at nursery schools, I felt that I needed more; to make more of a difference, to have more of an impact on more children's lives.
I have always enjoyed my own yoga practice and found that it brought so many amazing benefits to my life, in fact, at many times it was my 'saving grace.' After completing my yoga for children certification and training I decided to combine my two passions and create Young Yogis SA, my baby. I have since furthered my yoga studies under Rishikul Yogshala in India.
I feel that the combination of my passion and knowledge and experience in education, child development and yoga provide me with the perfect opportunity to make a difference in these children's lives and ultimately in this world."
